Physical activity can lead to improved physical and psychological well-being.  We conduct studies to investigate which properties of physical activity are responsible for these improved health outcomes.

 

A large percentage of older adults use dietary supplements to manage pain or improve health. We investigate which types of information older adults need to make educated decisions about the use of dietary supplements.

 

Physical activity and participation in organized sport among girls have increased in the past decade.  We conduct studies to identify the benefits physical activity and sports participation have for girls.

 

There are many opportunities for youth to participate in organized sports.  We investigate how participation in organized sports affects health promotion and risk-taking behaviors among youth.
